Reflexology Coach Jack -”Back for Stomach Ache”

Today’s lesson for Universal College of Reflexology students of the Professional Foot Reflexology Practitioners program is the spinal reflex.

What I find so interesting about the spinal reflex is its complexity makes our job as Reflexologists simple.  In addition to all things associated with back pain such as musculoskeletal issues as well as that troublesome sciatic nerve to poor posture and exercise issues, the spinal nerves do so much more.

Whenever my clients complain about aches, pains especially digestive issues such as a stomach ache, gas and bloating or even acid reflux, I pay special attention to the thoracic nerves associated with these parts of the digestive system.  I also expand on the client’s lifestyle and work issues relative to posture, exercise, history of vertebral conditions, back trauma, hydration (the gel surrounding vertebrae is more than 95% water), dehydration is a main cause of deteriorating spinal fluid leading to back issues which in turn can cause other problems such as stomach ache or digestive concerns.

This is what I love about Reflexology.
