I-Newswire New York City/New Haven, October 13, 2010 – In this study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Reiki treatment significantly reduced the emotional stress associated with a heart attack, thereby reducing the risk of a second attack. It is well documented that emotional stress negatively affects autonomic nervous system (ANS) function, and therefore heart disease (ANS controls heart rate). 

Additionally, the Reiki treatments improved heart rate variability (HRV), a physiologic measure that indicates if the patient’s body is recovering from the stress response. Usually this increase is achieved through drug intervention (beta blockers) which work slowly and are not well tolerated by some patients. The benefit of the Reiki treatments was comparable to using beta blockers.

This important study shows that Reiki treatment can be offered in an acute-care setting (patients received Reiki treatment within three days after suffering heart). The 20-minute treatments offered to patients by Reiki-trained staff nurses improved the patients subjective mood on all indicators. Patients who feel better have better medical outcomes and are better partners to their health care providers.

Many issues of personal, health and financial abundance were addressed during this class.  Every day our journey passed through new frontiers as we all grew and our chakras opened.  Every student who attended thanked us for the light and the new learnings.  This is particularly true for our returning students.  Some of whom keep returning over many years.

She was in considerable pain from an arm injury.  Her right arm was encased in a cast.  She brought in the X-rays taken the previous day showing a complete break in her forearm.  During my examination with her she stated with absolute conviction that this Reiki session was going to completely heal her broken arm claimed she booked a Reiki session because she was absolutely convinced that Reiki would fix her recently broken arm. 

Her pain and discomfort completely eased up during the Reiki session.  Following which she later told me that she contacted the hospital requesting removal of the cast and new X-rays to be taken.  She was booked in two days later.  Her surgeon tried to convince her it is was best to keep the cast on and not take any X-rays that weren’t necessary as she already had a full set just a few days earlier. 

Despite protests by the medical staff, she insisted and the cast was removed and her surgeon ordered new X-rays.  Eventually he returned with a puzzled look on his face declaring they somehow and inexplicably made an error on her initial X-rays.  He revealed her new X-rays showing no broken arm. 

The lady brought her new X-rays in to show me what the Reiki achieved.  She insisted on the spot to register for the next Universal College of Reflexology Traditional Japanese Reiki class.  She is now a Reiki Master Teacher.

I like so many other Reiki Masters sent Healing energy to the miners and their families back to the terrible accident 69 days ago right through to today and into the future as they adjust physically, emotionally and spiritually to their life.

The wonderful advantage about being attuned to Reiki and its harmonic energy is you never need to feel helpless again.  You can send Reiki energy back in time and through distance or to the future or to anywhere in the present time.  You can heal your own wounds especially those emotional ones you may have suffered when growing up or due to stressful life events during your grown years.  Even forward to upcoming stresses such as tomorrow’s dentist appointment.
